Eggs are back(egg-gain), asteroids have their moment in the sun, Canada wins
1. Money and Markets: Eggs are the New Gold Standard
When the conversation goes from whether to buy or rent your next house to whether to buy or rent chickens… things are getting weird.
Egg prices are at an all-time high. In January, the price of a dozen increased by 15% and increased by 53% over the last year.
Looking back, my newsletter from a couple of weeks ago about cooking the perfect egg seems a bit tone-deaf—but how could I have known it would become the next ‘How to properly decant a 1945 Château Mouton Rothschild’?
2. Strength and Stamina: Cure Bad Habits with AI
Reddit user u/InsideAd9719 created a ChatGPT GPT to hypnotize himself into quitting nicotine. And it worked.
Conversational hypnosis influences people by using everyday conversation to subtly guide their subconscious minds. It’s been used to achieve all types of goals or break habits and is backed by therapists and other professionals.
Maybe Lance Stroll can use it to be tricked into actually being a decent driver! Ha ha.
3. Future and Tech: Asteroids Strike Back
After receiving my billionth scam call in a single morning, sometimes I just wish an asteroid would come and take out whatever deep-state organization is trying to steal my $BUTTHOLE coin.
Well, as long as the scam headquarters is located wherever 2024 YR4 decides to make Earthfall, my dreams may be answered.
The odds of this mighty little asteroid impacting Earth is up to 3.1% in NASA’s latest model.
Side note: NASA’s website is a rabbit hole of fascinating information you never knew you needed. They even have a 'Featured Asteroids' list—aka Gen Z’s hottest baby names.

4. Military and Aviation: Navy CO Fired
The US Navy just announced the CO of the USS Harry S. Truman, Capt. Dave Snowden will officially be relieved of his command.
About a week after the Truman collided with a merchant ship near the Suez Canal, the Navy decided the CO needed to be held responsible.
I don’t know much about this incident or the Navy, frankly. But, if the guy seven levels removed from the person actually steering the ship gets fired for this, I should probably start monitoring my Roomba’s vacuuming performance more closely.
5. X-Factor: Canada Wins 4 Nations Face-Off
After the initial matchup between the US and Canada last Saturday, it was fate that the finals for the 4 Nations Face-Off would feature a rematch of North America’s finest.
This game had less booing and fighting, but the hockey itself was first-class.
With 16.1 million viewers tuning in to the game, it delivered everything we hoped for. Canada won 3-2 with McDavid delivering the OT knockout blow.
